What the Forum collects, why it collects it, and what it deliberately does not do.
Registration stores your email address, display name, password hash, role, account status, and account timestamps. Nothing else is requested and no profile is built from third party sources.
Email addresses are never displayed publicly and are not shared, sold, or used for marketing. They exist so you can log in, reset a password, and be contacted about moderation.
We store submitted topics, replies, reports, decisions, and moderation records. Pending and rejected content stays private to its author and the Swiss Knife SEO Moderators.
Approved content is public by design, together with your display name and the date it was published.
The application uses a session cookie and rate limit identifiers derived from connection data through a keyed hash, so a raw address is not stored in the rate limit table.
Server and security logs may record requests to operate and protect the service. They are not used to profile visitors.
The Forum uses an essential login session cookie for members and consent controlled Google Analytics 4 for site measurement. Advertising storage, Google Signals, ad user data, and ad personalization are disabled. Public readers who never log in do not receive the login session cookie.
The Analytics tag starts in cookieless mode, writes nothing to your device before acceptance, and sends no browser identifier. If you accept analytics, Google may set its analytics cookies. Analytics can receive the page title, browser and device information, approximate location derived by Google from the network request, and ordinary engagement measurements.
The custom page view and referrer keep only utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content, gclid, and msclkid query parameters. Other query parameters are removed from those fields. Enhanced Measurement can independently send the complete current page address for events such as a site search, so do not put personal or sensitive information in a page URL.
The first visit offers equal controls to accept or reject analytics cookies. The choice is stored in your browser for 180 days, and the persistent Privacy choices control lets you change it at any time. Rejecting keeps Analytics in cookieless mode and removes this site’s Analytics cookies where the browser permits it. We do not sell Analytics data or use it for advertising.
Records are retained while needed for operation, safety, legal obligations, and the integrity of the public archive.
Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion. Approved posts that carry replies may be retained in anonymized form so the discussion remains coherent for the people who contributed to it.
Approved posts can be indexed by search engines, quoted, archived, and shared by anyone.
Do not submit information you cannot safely make public. Removal after publication cannot undo a copy that already exists elsewhere.
Send a request from the address on your account and it will be handled directly.
